Hip Re-Branding for Country Music Station US 103.5

When US 103.5 came to us wanting a fresh new look for their new country attitude, we kicked up our cowboy boots threw our Stetson’s in the air and said hell yeah, turn it up, right on.  Trying to contain our redneck enthusiasm we graciously accepted the challenge.  Starting with a fresh new US 103.5 logo, we wanted to create a design that would match their youthful new playlist stacked with the hottest new country artists today.  Knowing that country music today is not what it used to be, it has taken on a whole new demographic that is youthful and mainstream, we came up with several new concepts for FUS.   I posted below some of our early concept designs.

StreetWide came up with a fresh, new, hip marketing design that reflects their new country attitude and resonates with their target audience.  I imagined up a camouflage pattern that was different, hip but not overpowering and anything but traditional.  Using US 103.5 new pantone colors, I created a nice light gray tone camouflage using hundreds of logos in different sizes colors and rotations.  Then I thought, what would a country music fan be doing in this big truck while blasting US 103.5?  Muddin!  That’s what, or at least dreaming of mudding.  So I designed big mud splashes off of each tire, but I wasn’t done there.  I used the same camo-logo design in the splashes and changed the color to their pantone red and blue.  Now it looked like they went through big paint puddles and again tied all back to their brand, logos, red, gray and blue.  Then I added the first ever mud splash racing stripes over the hood, roof, tailgate and back window.  This turned out amazing!  Added big US 103.5 logos, tag lines, websites and a cool shout out to Bobby Bones, with a old school microphone and custom winged guitar.  Now this was the coolest country truck on the road with many more off road US 103.5 vehicles to follow.  The client loved its new branding, and we quickly created pop up tents, banners, table covers, sunglasses, cozies, flags, T-shirts, underwear to match (ok not all of these, yet).  Thank you again iHeart Radio, FUS US 103.5, Bugni Enterprises Inc., and especially Kim and Rebecca.
